Your Gift Basket Delivery will be delivered by experienced delivery service providers at No Charge — Locally and Across Canada! To qualify for Free Delivery in Canada a minimum purchase of one hundred dollars (CDN)(before taxes) is required per delivery location.
We process all orders within one hour of receipt of payment during normal business hours unless otherwise requested.

If Hazelton’s delivers a gift basket or gift with a service guarantee after the applicable guaranteed delivery time on the applicable guaranteed delivery day, Hazelton’s will, upon request by the Gift Sender, issue the Gift Sender a refund or credit (at Hazelton’s option) in respect of the delivery.
In the event that a gift or gift basket covered by a service guarantee is not delivered in accordance with the applicable service guarantee, Hazelton’s will, at its option, refund or credit a Gift Sender, upon request, an amount equal to the difference between (a) the delivery fees paid by the Gift Sender and (b) the delivery fees that would apply to the delivery service that was actually received.
If Hazelton’s cannot deliver a gift or gift basket with a service guarantee on the applicable guaranteed delivery day, delivery will take place by End of Day on the business day specified by Hazelton’s.
The following limitations apply to guaranteed deliveries:
(i) The delay must not be caused by some event beyond Hazelton’s control, including but not limited to, those items described in “Liability of Hazelton’s – Events Beyond Hazelton’s Control”.
(ii) The delivery must not be left in a “Drop Box” after the posted pickup time; must not require pickup after local cut-off times; and must not be tendered to Hazelton’s after local cut-off times.
(iii) The service guarantee may be suspended, modified or revoked at Hazelton’s sole discretion.
(iv) The service guarantee will not apply to the following deliveries:
a) Deliveries originating from or destined to points deemed by Hazelton’s to be remote, where such points are not serviced directly by Hazelton’s couriers;
b ) Undeliverable or returned deliveries;

To obtain a refund or credit where applicable in accordance with Hazelton’s service guarantee(s), Customers should call the telephone number on their invoice or contact customerservice@hazeltons.ca and be ready to provide their Order number. Hazelton’s must receive a request for refund or credit in respect of a delivery to which a delivery service guarantee applies within 14 calendar days after the order was delivered or scheduled to be delivered.
Hazelton’s reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse a request for a refund or credit of delivery charges for any delivery, when such request is made by any party other than the payer of the delivery charges.
Unless otherwise indicated, the following Hazelton’s Specialized Services may be added to any delivery for an additional charge. Other specialized services may be available upon request.
Where a Gift Recipient is not available to accept a delivery attempt by one of Hazelton’s independent couriers, the delivery will be held at an authorized location for in-person pickup.
Deliveries held for pickup will be held at the authorized location up to five business days. If the Gift Recipient fails to pick up the delivery during this time, the package may returned to Hazelton's at the Customer’s expense.
Hazelton’s reserves the right to discontinue, apply new, or modify existing, administrative charges at any time and from time to time. Unless otherwise indicated, any of the following Hazelton’s administrative charges may be applied to any orders placed with Hazelton’s.
An additional charge will be applied per piece where the Receiver’s address is incorrect, incomplete or illegible.
Unless otherwise specified in these Terms and Conditions, Hazelton’s will provide electronic proof of delivery, where available, to Customers or Gift Recipients at no extra charge at www.Hazeltons.ca or by contacting customerservice@Hazeltons.ca or Hazelton’s (see “Contact Us”).
An additional charge will be applied if a Customer requests, and is provided with, a hard copy proof of delivery.
Hazelton’s reserves the right to discontinue, apply new, or modify existing, delivery charges at any time and from time to time.
Unless otherwise indicated, any of the following Hazelton’s delivery charges may be applied to any Hazelton’s delivery.
An additional charge will be applied where the origin or destination point is deemed by Hazelton’s to be remote or is not serviced directly by Hazelton’s. Please contact Hazelton’s for details.
An additional charge will be applied to any delivery that is required to be redelivered where Hazelton’s, through no fault of its own, was unable to complete delivery on the first attempt. This charge will be applied for each subsequent delivery attempt by Hazelton’s.
An additional charge will be applied to any delivery requiring a change of delivery address while in transit, requested by either the Customer or the Gift Recipient (if permitted*), with the requester having to pay the additional charge.
Unless otherwise indicated, the following Hazelton’s delivery charges may be applied to any Hazelton’s Same Day Delivery.
Hazelton’s Same Day orders are considered “dispatched” after being entered into the dispatch system and after a confirmation number has been provided to the Customer. If a Hazelton’s Same Day order is cancelled after being dispatched orders will be charged the full delivery charge, inclusive of all Taxes and Additional Charges.
Hazelton’s Same Day orders are considered “dispatched” after being entered into the dispatch system and after a confirmation number has been provided. If a Hazelton’s Same Day order is redirected after being dispatched:
a. If redirected before pickup, orders will be charged the full delivery charged for the new destination only, inclusive of all Taxes and Additional Charges;
b. If redirected after pickup, orders will be charged the full delivery charge for the first destination, plus the full delivery charge for the new destination, inclusive of all Taxes and Additional Charges.
In the event that a gift/gift basket is undeliverable, the delivery shall be returned to the Hazelton's and shall be subject to all applicable charges including, but not limited to the Signature Required charge.
For deliveries that cannot be delivered or returned for any reason, title to the delivery(s) will pass to Hazelton’s and such delivery(s) may be disposed of in Hazelton’s sole discretion and at any location:
(i) in the case of deliveries consisting of general articles, where such articles have been in Hazelton’s possession for 20 days or more.
(ii) in the case of deliveries consisting of perishable articles, where such articles have been in Hazelton’s possession for 10 days or more.
Upon request, Hazelton’s will, at its option, refund or credit a Customer (payer) if a guaranteed delivery is not delivered in accordance with the applicable service guarantee (see “Service Guarantees”).
Hazelton’s is not responsible for the consequences (direct or indirect) of a failure to deliver a delivery by a stipulated time.
Hazelton’s is under no obligation to refund or credit a Customer (Gift Sender) for any delivery charges, or for any loss, damage, delay, non-delivery, misdelivery or failure to perform, caused by events beyond Hazelton’s control, including, but not limited to, any act, default or omission of the gift sender/customer, gift recipient or any party having an interest in the delivery, defects or inherent vice in the delivery, acts of God, perils of the air, weather conditions, mechanical delays, disruptions in air or ground transportation networks, acts of public enemies, public health crises, quarantine, war, strikes or other labour disruptions (of any entity including vendors, suppliers or customers), terrorism, riots or civil commotion, acts of public authorities (including customs or health officials) with actual or apparent authority, customs clearance delays, import/export documentation deficiencies or deliveries requiring extraordinary handling,
documentation or routing.
Hazelton’s will not process any claim for loss of or damage for any delivery unless notice thereof setting out the particulars of the origin, destination, parcel identification number (PIN), date of delivery and the estimated amount claimed in respect of such loss or damage is given to Hazelton’s in writing (by email to customerservice@hazeltons.ca) within the time limits set out below, failing which Hazelton’s will have no liability in respect of the delivery.
Hazelton’s may also require supporting documentation in order to assess a claim. Such documentation may include pictures of the damages, estimates for repair, or other records. Failure to submit the necessary supporting documentation (in Hazelton’s sole discretion) may result in the claim being denied.
The right to damages of any kind against Hazelton’s will be extinguished unless Hazelton's is contacted within 5 calendar days of the damage package being received or 10 days from the date on which the delivery should have been delivered, or from the date on which delivery stopped.
Excluding refund requests made in respect of Hazelton’s service guarantees, all claims must be submitted in writing by email to customerservice@hazeltons.ca with supporting documentation.
Hazelton’s retains the right to inspect any delivery that is the subject of a damage claim. If, at the time the damage claim is submitted, Hazelton’s requests that the customer retain the delivery and packaging for inspection, the Customer shall retain the delivery and packaging for inspection by Hazelton’s for a period of 10 days. Failure to retain the delivery and packaging for inspection may result in the claim being denied.
The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) has issued Toronto Gourmet Gift Basket Delivery Service a licence to deliver beer, liquor, wine, and champagne on behalf of Hazelton's.
To be in compliance with these rules, all of our drivers are “Smart-Serve” certified – and we take this seriously! We will ensure that anyone who receives a gift basket from Toronto Gourmet Gift Basket Delivery Service is legally able to receive alcohol. Alcohol purchased should be for the personal consumption of the gift recipient and not for resale. If a gift recipient looks less than 25 years of age, we will require proof of age and a signature certifying that they are of age to purchase/receive alcohol.
Hazelton’s and Toronto Gift Basket Delivery Service will comply with the rules and regulations as set out by the AGCO relating to this Liquor Delivery Service License.
All wine, champagne, beer and liquor baskets sold by Hazelton’s or Toronto Gift Basket Delivery Service with a value over $100 includes a $15 delivery charge. So far example, if the total price paid by a customer for a custom liquor basket before tax is $150, the price is $135 + $15 for deliver for a total of $150.00 plus taxes. The AGCO requires us to charge a minimum delivery charge on all liquor orders.
For deliveries to Greater Toronto Area and suburbs - If no one is at home when our drivers attempt delivery, our drivers will call the gift recipient to see where they can safely leave the gift basket. If the driver cannot reach the gift recipient, they will leave a a message (if possible) and the driver will leave the package at a safe place without obtaining a signature. If the gift cannot be left safely and no one can accept the delivery, re-delivery will be necessary. A re-delivery charge may be required at an additional charge (typically $15-$40). We will try to avoid the re-delivery but will not leave a gift in an unsafe place. We will arrange the re-delivery at the earliest possible time - often later in the day or the next day. The re-delivery charge will be charged to your VISA or Mastercard. If you have paid for your order by PayPal, we will not do the re-delivery until we have received the re-delivery fees.
For Deliveries Outside of the Toronto Area - For shipments by common carrier, the courier will not attempt to contact the gift recipient if no one is at home when the gift arrives. Common carriers never call gift recipients. Instead they will leave the package at the front door if they feel it is safe to do so. If they do not feel it is safe to leave it at the front door, they will leave a notice indicating where the gift can be picked up by the gift recipient (e.g. at the post office or a Purolator Drop Box). If the package is not picked up in the following 10 days, if will be returned to Hazelton's. Redelivery may be attempted . A re-delivery charge may be required at an additional charge (typically $15-$40).
Chocolate Dipped Strawberries, Fresh Cheese, Fresh Fruit, ETC are perishable and, therefore, must be shipped quickly.
For this reason, we highly recommend customers request to have Fresh Fruit, Fresh Cheese & Chocolate Dipped Strawberries to be shipped on an express, same day or next day basis only. Same day service is free in the Greater Toronto Area and suburbs -- see above.
If a customer does not choose same-day or rush service for a chocolate dipped fruit order, we will substitute the fresh strawberries with truffles or strawberries made of dark or milk chocolate so they arrive in good condition. During the hot summer months - June to August - we recommend rush or same day service only for Chocolate Dipped Strawberries.
For orders that request fresh cheese, we will substitute non-perishable cheese if the expected delivery times are more than 24 hours or the cheese could good bad.
If a customer requests delivery of fruit, fresh cheese, chocolate dipped strawberries, etc by ground shipping, we cannot guarantee freshness or the quality of these items when they are received and will not refund customers if items have melted or the items are received in less than perfect condition.
In some cases, some of the items that we ship are oversized or of a weight that is above average. In these cases, additional delivery charges may apply. However, before we apply these additional shipping charges, we will contact you, our customer, to ensure that you are willing to pay the additional shipping charges. If you agree to the overweight/oversized charges, we will apply the charges and ship the package. If you do not agree to the additional shipping charges, we may offer other items which can be shipped or cancel the order.
We ship to the United States on a regular basis and will charge you for the shipping charges we pay when we ship to the United States.USA
We ship most US orders to arrive via Purolator, USPS, CANPAR or FEDEX in 2-9 business days using ground services. Custom orders to the U.S.will arrive in 3-9 days in most metropolitan areas. Orders are shipped to the USA from Monday-Friday; weekend and holiday deliveries are excluded. Express/Rush Gift Basket Services are available to the USA. Please call us for details.
